Terms
Terms of use.
These cover the website and the free audit tool. The actual work, if we do any, is covered by a separate written scope that we both sign.

Who you're dealing with
This site is operated by Loaded Dice Ltd, trading as Workings — registered in England and Wales, company no. 12429789, VAT no. GB 342132248, registered office Unit C4, Windmill Parc, Hayes Road, Sully, Vale of Glamorgan CF64 5AD. Yes, the same Loaded Dice as the tabletop shop; the automation work runs under the same company, and the two share nothing beyond an owner. Contact: graham@theworkings.uk. Using the site means you accept what's on this page.
The audit tool is an estimate, not advice
The waste audit multiplies the numbers you give it by the rate and the number of weeks you give it. It knows nothing about your business beyond that. It is a rough sizing exercise to help you decide whether the problem is worth an hour of your time — it is not financial, accounting, tax, legal or employment advice, and you should not make a decision that matters on the strength of it alone.
The "realistically recoverable in year one" figure applies a flat 55% to the total. That figure is a deliberately conservative rule of thumb based on my own experience automating this kind of work. It is not a forecast, a promise, or a guarantee of any result in your business.
Prices on the site
The prices shown are the current standard prices for standard scopes, in pounds sterling, excluding VAT. They are an invitation to talk, not a binding offer. If your job needs something different, I'll tell you what it costs before anyone commits to anything, in writing.
What I do with what you send
Covered in the privacy notice. In short: I use it to reply to you, and nothing else.
Confidentiality
Anything you tell me about how your business runs — on the form, on a call, or on site — I treat as confidential. I don't reuse one client's systems, figures or data on another client's account, and I won't take on a business that competes directly with my own retail business. If that might be you, say so early.
Content on this site
The words, design and code on this site are mine. You're welcome to quote or link to it; please don't copy it wholesale and pass it off as your own. The figures in the "Receipts" section are from my own business and are accurate as measured; the hero ledger is labelled illustrative because it is.
Availability
I'll keep the site up, but it's a one-person operation on shared infrastructure and I'm not promising it will never be down. If the form won't send, email me directly and I'll deal with it by hand.
Liability
Nothing here limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for business losses — lost profit, lost revenue, lost data or lost opportunity — arising from your use of this site or the audit tool. If you're using the site for purposes outside your trade or profession, your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Links out
Where the site links somewhere else — the booking page, for example — those sites run under their own terms and I'm not responsible for them.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top says when I last did. Material changes won't be applied retrospectively to something you've already sent me.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
The one-line version. The audit is a back-of-envelope estimate to help you decide if this is worth a conversation. Anything I actually build for you is governed by a scope we both sign, not by this page.
